How YouTube Impacts People on Learning English
YouTube, the biggest and the famous video-sharing
website, has the abilities to influence
people to learning English. It is caused by there is a lot of videos in YouTube
available in English. It makes people who watch certain English videos,
especially a foreign speaker, have to read the caption and listen whether they
want it or not. However, this kind of
situation will give a good impact to the viewers, because, unconsciously, they
will learn, not only a lot of new vocabulary, but also improving their
listening comprehension skill through watching YouTube videos. Based on the
figure below, YouTube videos are increasing in every single year which means
there will more various content that English learner views.
The first impact while using YouTube for English
Learner is easily to obtain the new vocabulary. Kabooha
& Elyas (2015) state that vocabulary is one of the essential components in
language learning. Moreover, Hammer (2001)
claims that vocabulary is the core of language. Because of this, in
order to communicate effectively, English language learners must learn a lot of
vocabulary. Fortunately, these days, there are a lot of contents that is
provided in English, especially the YouTube Videos which can be accessed
effortlessly.
In the other side, an English learner who watch YouTube, has also already
improved their listening skill which is stated by Chhabra (2012). Kelsen (2009) found that using YouTube is more interesting
and makes the learner more motivated to learn listening.
In conclusion,
using YouTube as a media for learning English is a good choice. But, the
learner still have to find the appropriate video for their education learning.
Because, YouTube still have a weakness like poor sound quality or the bad
pronunciation of the speaker.

Overall the writing is good. But it would be better if the introduction you also put some expert or other research quote to back up your introdiction. If you only use general statement only it will not be concrete.

Deletethe essay is good, there are introduction, and then the figure, and conclusion. I think you should put more about the expert quotation and you should write the explanation of the figure. I think you forgot to put the thesis statement about your essay. thank you
